10. Now bring up the picture of the Woodfill
you downloaded above..Go to your Flood Fill
Options Box and choose
Pattern in the Fill Style as shown below
Then click on the center tab and
click on the drop down menu to
choose the Woodfill 1 picture..
11. Using your Selections Tool ,
draw a narrow shaft for the shovel..
and fill the shaft with the wood texture..
Now go to Colors, Adjust
and use these settings to brighten the shaft..
Then Apply Eye Candy, Inner Bevel using
the default settings...
Your shaft will now look like this
12. Now go to the Layer Pallette and
drag layer 3 under layer 2...Now go
back to the shaft and using the
mover tool pull it down so
it is underneath the shovel..
Selections/None..
13. Add New Layer
Using the Preset Shapes Tool Circle
Style - Stroked
Line Width - 8
Draw a small circle above the shaft
Add a New Layer and using the Preset
Shapes Tool Rounded Rectangle
Draw a rectangle above the circle like
shown below
14. On the layers palette, hide
layers 1, 2 and 3 and go to Layers, Merge
Visible...
15. Unhide layers 1, 2 & 3
and make sure you are on the layer now
named Merged...Using the Magic Wand,
click on the handle and go to Eye Candy,
Inner Bevel and use the default settings..
Keep Selected and use the Eraser Tool
and erase the area shown below
Now click on the Deformations Tool
and holding down the Ctrl Key & Shift Key
together drag the lower left corner inward
so it touches the shaft..
Then go to the lower right corner and
do the same....
Go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible...
I rotated the snow shovel 20 degrees to
the right....
You now have a snow shovel...
Decorate it anyway you like...
Save as JPG or in PSP format..
